For the past year, John Lovgren has been providing photography workshops to our clientele onboard Blount Small Ship Adventures' three expedition-style cruise ships. Traveling to various locales with our ships, he has given our guests the tools and the confidence to capture and memorialize their cruise vacations. Whether a beginner or expert, our guests always rave about John's workshops. We are constantly receiving letters of praise and positive comments from those who have participated in his onboard classes. He is professional, flexible, extremely talented and always accommodating. Great Teacher and Photographer

I've been taking lessons from John for the last six months He was recommended by a local camera repair shop as "a very talented professional photographer". I have found this to be an accurate assessment. As a teacher he is thorough, detail oriented, knowledgeable of the technical aspects of photography and creative. He is skilled at helping a student take the best photos possible and the improving them even more with his post editing expertise. He is never condescending. He has a critical eye, helping me to become a better photographer. I've had the privilege of accompanying him on a few photo shoots and have been extremely impressed with the time he takes to make his clients feel comfortable. He is always working toward getting the best shots possible. He communicates continually with his clients, obviously wanting to meet their expectations. He has a good sense of humor which is helpful in making people feel relaxed. I'd highly recommend John as a teacher or photographer

Excellent photographer, very nice man!

John and his lovely wife Laurie captured our recent June wedding and we could not be happier with how the pictures came out (which were posted on his website in less than 48 hours!!). He took over a thousand pictures of our special day and everyone was commenting how "invisible" he was, yet he captured everything. John and Laurie were very professional, easy to work with and extremely accommodating. They are also just really nice people, which is a bonus! His prices are reasonable and we are very pleased with his efforts. Thanks again John & Laurie!

Fantastic Work!

John Lovgren has photographed our Mother/Son Event for the past two years and has been incredible to work with! The pictures were amazing - made all of us moms look like we were having the time of our lives effortlessly ( not an easy feat!) - caught the true "boyish-ness" of our children, and such fast service! Our pictures were posted for review the very next day! Easy to work with under any condition, even High Winds!!! OLM will be calling again for future events!!!!

Perfect Senior Portraits!

Having John take my son's Senior Portraits for high school was a great decision. It was a much more pleasant and positive experience than we had previously with our older son at another photographer. John took the time to talk with us and ask the right questions to be sure the pictures would be perfect and what we had in mind. Several different poses and locations were offered. He has a warm and friendly manner that quickly puts you at ease which is reflected in the photos .And we were able to view the pictures online within 24 hrs. Great service!

Absolutely Fantastic!

" Goes Above and Beyond "

I worked with John recently to obtain a photo for our company's website. He not only did the photo shoot but sat with me at this computer to help me pick the best one. He also tweaked my photo allowing me to look younger and slimmer digitally on his computer. What's better than that . . . I feel he went above and beyond !!!!

"The BEST! "

John is absolutely wonderful. His studio is very comfortable. His pictures are awesome, and he seems to specialize in everything! Weddings, children, pets, landscapes, head shots, comp cards, you name it, it was there. He really takes his time with his client. He works very hard to get just the RIGHT look. He was available to us before, during and after the photo shoot, patiently answering my questions. He certainly puts his clients first, and the end results are terrific. Do not be afraid to give this man a chance.

John has personality, patience and professionalism. His work is tremendous. He takes his time with each photograph. I referred Rhode Island's Junior Miss 2009 to John to have her photos taken which will be used in the national program in Mobile, Alabama this summer. Fabulous Photographer!

II highly recommend John Lovgren. He has the "3 P's" essential for finding a good photographer: personality, prices and photographs. He is extremely easy to work with, friendly, flexible and very accomadating. His talents expand beyond weddings; my home is decorated with his artwork and he has taken a series of photographs of my son, which my family treasures. John Lovgren was the wedding photographer we choose for our 7.3.08 wedding. We were very impressed with his skill & the passion he has for his craft. His pricing was refreshing & he spent a remarkable amount of time working with us to ensure he captured the most important moments of our day. We were able to view his work quickly (no painful 3 month wait) & we are thrilled, we LOVE the pictures he took of our day. It was such a pleasure to work with him & we have no regrets with our choice. The only downside is that now we have to keep inventing reasons to keep John in our lives, I see family portraits, baby photos, holiday cards, album making & on & on & on…
